    58 innocent people just got killed and hundreds more wounded in this country's worst ever mass shooting. Many of us locals know some of the victims. Thank goodness SBRN and the Unitarian Society are stepping up to help.

    seriously? this is really over the top. Using Social Media to "nab" "suspects"? A few kids with pellet guns isn't illegal. Owning a pellet gun isn't illegal. A minor holding a firearm isn't illegal either. There is no information about what threats were supposedly said or insinuated, but that they were just arrested for having a photo taken of them with a "gun". Welcome to our Orwellian existence....1984.
    I'm a very left leaning indivudual, but there is nothing illegal about having pellet guns or using a firearm or taking a photo of yourself with a firearm. Is it appropriate? I don't know nor do I care. There was no harm done and no physical threats actually made. Perhaps there is a LOT more to the story that wasn't published but I doubt that since the media loves this sort of thing. Highly unlikely this will hold up in court...

    Of course the arrest is utterly ridiculous, because as bad as the economy is (and it IS dismal), there just isn't that much real crime, so the SBSO and other local police really have to go out of their way to make something out of nothing, like they have with my case. A month ago a homeless woman was yelling at no one in particular, while standing in my driveway. I joined the conversation just long enough to holler "TAKE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE!" at her. The police showed up after she was long gone and tried to BS their way into my home for a warrantless "look see". Right now the judge in my case is trying get me to do all sorts of things that are inappropriate, but he's not following the Rules of the Court or any procedure prescribed by law, he's just makin' it up as he goes. When I was in jail, I met a man named Buddy Toops - some may remember that it was reported here on edhat - he was crossing the main street in Nipomo 4 years ago and some woman in a SUV hit him from behind - he sailed higher than the awning of a nearby gas station. Part of Buddy's brain was literally laying on the street & they bagged it up & it was put back in his head. Buddy is a walking miracle, and when I met him, he was calmly facing a month in the main county jail because he didn't have the money to bail out. What horrendous crime does it take to make the prosecutor go after a profoundly disabled man like Buddy? He got mad & threw water on his wife. All 8 of the guys I shared a cell with (H13 South, baby!) were arrested for similar "crimes against humanity".

    Juvenile Hall is where they fatten them up for the Gladiator Circuit . My brother had to sit in his cell atop La Posatas , the old juvenile Hall @ Auhay and Hollister Ave watching us BBQ and party in the backyard every night after work. Heartbreaking .Lol.
