What was up at the UCSB Cliff House?

Scads of CSOs and police cruisers all around the Cliff House, blocking access to Sands and the beach on Sunday, forcing would-be beach goers to drop a steep trail by the Jail House and pushing people into the bluff as the tide rose. They claimed it was for “a bike ride” but there were no bikes around and the Cliff House shades were drawn. What was up?
