Day 8 Answer

This newly painted and colorful mural gives a nod to a local building with historic cultural roots. This painting is in celebration of the Chinese New Year and is located on the side of the building at 122 E. Canon Perdido Street in downtown Santa Barbara.

The building is currently the Pickle Room but was formerly Jimmy’s Oriental Gardens. It opened in 1947 by Jimmy Yee Chung and closed in 2006 when Jimmy’s son, Tommy, retired.
