Ventura Firefighters Extinguish Two Acre Fire Near Encampment at Surfers Knoll

Narrative: On the above date and time Ventura fire units were dispatched to multiple reports of a fire near Surfers Knoll in Ventura.

Upon arrival crews discovered a 1-acre fire burning in tall Arundo surrounding a large encampment. Crews worked for 3 hours to fully extinguish the fire with a final perimeter of 2.4-acres.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.
