Drone Hovering Over San Roque
By an edhat reader
Large commercial quadcopter drone hovering over San Roque homes. Seems to be going from one house to the next, as though surveying. Have heard it the past few days, and it just surveyed my property. Is this legal? I have videos if helpful.

Jul 20, 2022 05:16 PMProbably SkySkopes checking out the powerlines and connections.
Those power lines that go to your home belong to the power company as does your meter. They have the right to observe and monitortheir property.
Today SCE had a helicopter hovering in Montecito about 50 fet off the ground and am guessing the people below would have rather had a drone

Jul 21, 2022 07:37 AMThat looks like a M210 so it's definitely a skyskopes power lines inspection. Typically you will see either an M210 or M300 doing power lines inspections. Skyskopes pilots are excellent at doing their jobs and there is nothing to worry about.

Jul 22, 2022 08:37 AMIf you walk out your door instead of peeping through the drapes, you will find a couple guys in yellow vests controlling the drone for SCE. This same OP probably complains that SCE does not maintain their power lines.
