Now that the election is over and our new Mayor has taken the oath of office shouldn't all the old campaign signs be removed?

What is the responsibility of the candidates? I have seen a few of the above pictured candidate's around town plus one or two of other past candidates here and there. We may have a special election in June for District 3 along with a Primary and a General Election in November should we be looking forward to more of the same?

Take a basic course in civics. These are free speech by private persons; they aren't the responsibility of candidates, nor of you.

I reckon if it's okay to leave bumper stickers on one's car it shouldn't be anyone's business if the placards continue to festoon people's balconies and lawns. It is still a free country, right? I mean that's why we pay so much for the military industrial complex... the right to do as we please rather than tell others to do as we please.

What's worse is people's yard sale signs that they never take down, and they get all weathered & tattered & ugly. They are almost always on public property (sign posts, telephone poles, trees). I always want to go to the address of the obviously long-over yard sale and wander through the person's property, poking around. "Well i saw your sign, just looking for stuff for sale."

If they're on private property, they can stay up forever and nobody can (or should be able to) do anything about it. Like all the old political bumper stickers you still see on cars.
