Does anyone know the history of the structures that used to be on the Wilcox Property/Douglas Preserve? I know it used to be a nursery but were there ever homes on the property? It’s fun to walk around the old foundations and try to picture what it used to look like.

This is TOTALLY word-of-mouth and I cannot confirm or deny its truth, but I heard that at one point there were plans to build some sort of senior living community, which is where the foundations and asphalt paths came from. Again, I stress that this could be completely false.
SB Life yes, that is totally wrong, the foundations and paths are as Curmudgeon says , re the nursery in 1949 and there was no actual construction for any of the various plans.
