Scanner Reports 7-2-18

By Roger the Scanner Guy

Another dollar another MONday. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, mine was OK though cleaning the closet was kinda scary. Joey likes to bring friends home and I kicked some out on Saturday along with a good deal of my personal items that I could not use anymore. As I was evicting their asses he was picking them up and trying to bring them back in. He probably brought them all back in when I was sleeping. I have to start  cleaning up and getting rid of some things anyway some of the things I wanted to keep, it is what it is. Someone was mentioning weird things going on the other day I heard acouple over the Weekend maybe the Full Moon played a part. I personally believe in those things not everyone does.

There was a 72 Year old woman who kept going over to her neighbors house insisting that someone named Ray lived in his house and he kept coming over to her house and bothering her she wanted it to stop. Neighbor called police and said she suffers from dementia, of course I think it was some guy named Ray who had been in her life before who is now in the great beyond, Ray Rayner perhaps. I missed the address but heard a male was sleeping in a tree in a backyard. LOOK UP EVERYONE Check your trees!. Then there was the Natural Cafe call in Goleta, a male entered the restaurant dressed in Boxers and a long sleeve shirt that was all sat down for dinner was waiting to order. He was thought to be Under the influence of something or at Least very forgetful. Report of a stolen vehicle near Marshalls, the victim was walking North looking for his vehicle he must have found it because I heard nothing more, he might be still looking for it. Sometimes calls are like that you hear half then something else happens. I do think the Strong Arm Robbery and capture in front of Dunkin Donuts was kinda funny, though I have heard that some police officers do not like donut jokes. There was a 242 Assault with a Doggy Bag in the 7400 Block of Hollister suspect was wearing a Yankee shirt and shorts the victim thought the suspect might be Under the Influence of something. The suspect got in his vehicle drove away victim following to Cannon Green where SBSO also responded. Doggy Bag assault was over Road Rage. Public Assist in Montecito Fire Department call for a child locked in a bedroom. I just thought that was kinda weird, one of my family members would just kick down the door.

I did a good deed had a beautiful old Coleman sleeping bag that I bought some years ago washed it took it to a homeless camp gave it away got a big hug for it. I have Belindas bag that is all I need. After I gave the sleeping bag away I remembered an employer I once had used to pick me up at the wall on Ortega street. Paul Unander he gave me a sleeping bag once said he found it in the garage I think it was a Coleman like the one I gave away. Paul Unander another Santa Barbarian with a heart of gold. Here are your Scanner Reports.

  1. One of the Units closest to the creek, (on the 1300 blk San Andres), had their window shot out by a bb gun / or pellet gun too. The Unit owner had already yelled at the punks, who were across the creek, on the San Pascual side, to stop shooting off their gun in his direction. The Police were called and the report was made.

  2. Is John Wiley still living near #154 and Foothill Rd? He hasn’t been commenting, and he’s not updating his blog. With potential fire weather arriving soon, I hope he is still a contributing Edhatter, especially from that important location at the bottom of #154. Do you know Roger?
