Last night (10/3) at approx. 8:30 PM, 8 patrol cars in full siren came blasting down San Pascual Street. Does anyone know what happened that required this much focused attention by law enforcement. I’m not doubting that it was necessary, just want to know what’s happened in our neighborhood.

I was just on the East side at the little Ceasers parking lot on Milpas and I saw a car load of youngster gangbangers jump out on a couple other Kids that didn’t look like gangbangers, some of the kids in the car pulled out knifes and had alcohol bottles, it’s crazy to think of all the things we used to do when we were kids, but these kids are getting out of hand, if you ask me they’re a bunch of cowards, sissified no good cowards, it takes a real man to throw hands, anyone can pull out a knife gun weapon, damn people need to whoop the crap outta their kids to teach them hard lessons, be hard on them and stop letting these damn 14-17 year olds do whatever they want, make kids afraid of their parents for god sake

I was in 2 gangs when I was a kid not here. I think in some cases they are cowards and some they are scared to walk alone. I was scared because my father beat me I got stabbed when I was 13 the first time had my best friends little brother die in my arms at 15..I did not stay in the gang life very long now as an old man I walk alone without a gang but keep God close by. Abuse is not the answer either everyone finds their own way sooner or later.
Parents of these and a lot of other kids/youths are failing miserably. I wouldn’t want to live around that neighborhood. Oh wait, was it eastside or westside locos we’re taking about? Either way, same issue.
This was on Milpas st just a few hours ago, Roger I actually agree with you on some of the last stuff you said but in some cases hard discipline does work, trust me it worked on me and just about my thousands of cousins I have
Yes, their parents have failed them and should be held accountable. Juveniles are the legal responsibility of the parents; effectively the kids are their parents’ property and should be secured. I feel that parents should be charged when their children break the law. If you don’t secure a firearm or car and the kid takes it and harms someone, it’s your fault. Same with dangerous pets, you have to keep control of them. As far as whooping the crap out of their kids, maybe. When I was very young I went to a private school. The teachers had wooden paddles drilled full of holes, hanging on a nail on their desks for all the kids to see. They were rarely used, as just the sight of them was enough to keep the kids under control. No one wanted to get paddled in front of the class. They did away with corporal punishment in many schools since then, but maybe they need to bring it back.
This had nothing to do with gangs. Why are you all assuming it was?
Different things work for different people I was abused for no reason maybe my Dad did not like the way I looked at him hell I don’t know I was very young when he started beating me. That kind of discipline did not work on me that woulda just made me more violent. For me it was people being kind and caring that helped me and discipline was OK without violence.
