Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Amtrak?

By an edhat reader

On Sunday night, around 7:45 p.m., a pedestrian was struck and killed by a passing Amtrak train in Goleta.

This was near Depot and S. Kellogg. On the scanner the Sheriff’s Office confirmed a fatality, but there’s no other information available. What’s up?

  1. This has been happening more and more since they made they San Marcos bridge a cage.
I had a friend on a train coming from San Diego. The train hit a pedestrian in LA and it took them about 12 hours to get here after that. It IS cruel to the train operator and the passengers. Sad and depressing to be attached to a situation like this.
I pray that this person’s soul is in a
    better place for them.
