North Milpas & East Montecito Street Traffic Collision
On December 6, 2023, at 10:37 a.m., the Santa Barbara Police Department Combined Communications Center received several reports of a rollover traffic collision at the intersection of North Milpas Street and East Montecito Street involving a white vehicle and a Santa Barbara Police Department parking enforcement vehicle.
The initial investigation revealed both vehicles were southbound on North Milpas Street approaching East Montecito Street. The white vehicle was in the left lane, while the parking enforcement officer’s vehicle was in the right lane.
The driver of the white vehicle attempted to make a right turn onto East Montecito Street from the left lane, colliding with the parking enforcement officer’s vehicle and causing it to roll over.
The parking enforcement officer was transported to Cottage Hospital Emergency Room for medical treatment.
This case is currently under investigation, and no other information is available at this time.
