Santa Barbara County firefighters were on the scene of two separate spot fires near the La Purisima Mission in Lompoc on Wednesday.
Crews arrived to the scene just after 4:00 p.m. and discovered one 40 foot by 30 foot fire and another 10 by 10 foot fire.
Both were reportedly burning at slow rates of spread, according to Fire Captain Scott Safechuck.
Most resources have been cancelled but County Air Support helicopter 964 will remain on the scene to assist ground crews, said Safechuck.
Captain Safechuck added a third spot fire, about 10 x 10 feet in size, was located.
The forward progress of all fires were stopped at 5:08 p.m. Wednesday.
Fire personnel remained on the scene to mop up.
The cause of the fires are under investigation.
