This is more of a question than news. While heading south on 101 Saturday at around noon by Summerland, I noticed approximately 25 surfers and Stand Up Paddlers heading south. They were being escorted by about 6 support boats. Any ideas what this was about?

It’s no ones business. Why do we always have to know things that are mot of any concern to us. What a nosey town!
YAINNIS… on the one hand I feel your sentiment but on the other this is a website dedicated to inquiring about just about everything in town: “a cop car went the opposite way than me, what’s he doing?”, “a helicopter flew by, where’s it going?”, “5 people sitting on a bus stop bench, what’s going on?” and so on and so forth. That’s just the nature of this beast.
