Long COVID-19 Testing Times?

By David

I waited in my car for four hours to get Covid tested at the La Cumbre Plaza site. Why so long? I paid $150 for a rapid test and had a reservation. Unacceptable.

  1. Yes Sacjon, two years ago the Federal government used operation Warp Speed to get massive amounts of vaccinations developed and out ASAP. Last year, the Federal government rejected a proposal to mass produce 700 million rapid tests and distribute them to the entire US ahead of winter…. come on man!

  2. 11:02 -Come on, where? If that’s the answer, then that’s it. It’s Biden’s fault. I’m not, nor ever been, a fan of the guy. But, I am honestly curious if that’s the sole reason. I feel like it might not be. If it is, again… fine.

  3. 10:26 – the Vanity Fair article is countered by this one: https://www.businessinsider.com/biden-denies-rejecting-plan-rapid-covid19-tests-holidays-omicron-2021-12
Seems the former might not have the full story or people misinterpreted the article. Looks to me the White House offered a different solution…. “the administration instead announced an initiative to move rapid home tests more swiftly through the FDA’s regulatory approval process.”

  4. @1641490751 Cool story! Hey remember this day last year when the former president tried to overthrow democracy and fomented his cult supporters to attack the capitol to stop the election? ..And then they did, smearing urine and feces on the walls and carrying trump and confederate flags and attacking police? From 1801 until we elected a conman grifter to the presidency we had a peaceful transfer of power. After Jan 6 experts described a risk of democratic backsliding in the U.S., as the former guy, publicly refused to commit to a peaceful transfer of power if he lost his election bid. Crazy huh?
