It's Wed at 11:55 a.m., why are cars driving Foothill with their headlights on?

Headlights on Foothill?

Most cars have headlights on? Then how come we see so many yahoos post-sunset and during rain driving w/out headlights on?

Was there enough moisture for windshield wipers? Law now is you have to turn on headlights if your wipers are going. We had a few big rain drops here in Carpinteria.

Were they following a hearse? If so they were probably all going to the same place and came from the same place too. What do they call that? Oh yeah, a funeral procession. On the other hand if they were following a limo and were happily honking their horns it was a wedding procession. If they had police motorcycle outriders it was a possible VIP. You gotta look for the details as clues to what is going on.

Localmatt--until vehicle makers make cell-phone use while the engine is on impossible, cell phone addicts will continue to ignore their own safety and the safety of others. A chip in the engine block that blocks all calls except 911 would do that, but would be very unpopular. Cell phones have just been classified as an addiction like alcohol, nicotine and gambling. Wonder what took so long! Because your vehicle is so big, you are less at risk than us little guys except for jerks cutting you off.

My prediction is that in the future having your lights on during the day won't be deemed safe enough and the law will make everyone have flashing lights on all the time like emergency vehicles...

I drive a semi truck local. I keep my headlights on all day. The amount of texting drivers I see on a daily basis would be 8 out of 10 drivers. Especially at a red light. People think it's an opportune time to scroll through Facebook or text

They might also have been coming down from 154 and not turn their lights off yet ..

Is this really a serious question? Has the OP not noticed this for a long time or on other streets? lol

Percession is a combination of precession and percussion which = procession.

Possibly, that MOST cars now have their headlights on as running lights at all times.. safety & visibility issue.
