COVIDSAFE21 Bracelets?

KEYT did a blurb back on March 1st about a couple in Carpinteria that were sending out COVIDSAFE21 bracelets to anyone who had had their vaccines. Has anyone actually received a bracelet? I submitted our info and actually did a donation through PayPal, and never received the bracelets. After multiple emails, still no bracelet, or refund. Curious if anyone else had this happen. Was this a SCAM? Today I received an email from Medicare warning not to share copies of vaccination cards.

COVIDSAFE21 Bracelets?

Dude probably got overwhelmed with requests. His page, which hasn't been updated since 3/11,even says he didn't realize shipping was so expensive, sounds like it got costly quick. You can file a dispute with PayPal if you want.

Already tried to file with PayPal. They closed the case in their favor. I was letting it go, but then got the email today from Medicare warning of fraud. Certainly hope that wasn't the case. For this reason I decided to reach out to the community to see if anyone has actually received a bracelet.

Received ours (and my mothers) in about two weeks. Not a scam, as previously mentioned probably just overwhelmed with response.

I know the person doing it, it's not a scam... I think they just got overwhelmed and didn't realize how expensive it was going to be and how many requests they would get... I'm sure they will send yours out eventually, you might reach out and see if you can pick them up instead of them having to be mailed... that might be quicker.

I get that they could have been overwhelmed. If that was the case they should change their webpage letting people know. After a considerable amount of time, I gave up, and emailed them to say "keep the money" that I donated through PayPal (actually more than the suggested amount, as I wanted to support them for doing this. After so much time, my concern was, was this a SCAM? Then, getting an email from Medicare yesterday "Don't share a photo of your COVID-19 vaccination card online or on social media". This couple requests a copy of the card as proof. If someone actually knows the couple doing these bracelets, please inform them not to request copies of the COVID-19 vaccination card, and to please update their webpage.
