The November full moon is dubbed the Beaver Moon because it corresponds to the time of year when beavers start sheltering in their lodges, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac(not that we have a lot of beavers in Santa Barbara).
It appeared after the long holiday weekend a few hours before sunrise on Monday, November 27.
Here it is at shortly after 8:00pm on Saturday, November 25 at 98.5% full under clear skies before the clouds moved in.
I made this photo with my digital camera and a telephoto lens by shooting hundreds of photos, selecting about 10% of the best ones, then using image processing software.
