The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Wind Advisory from Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning.

The Santa Ynez Mountains Eastern Range and Santa Barbara County Interior Mountains, including the cities of Montecito Hills, Big Pine Mountain, Figueroa Mountain, and San Rafael Mountain, are included in the alert.

NWS expects northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected. Isolated gusts to near 60 mph in the hills above Montecito.

Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

“Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects,” NWS states.

The advisory will take effect at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday through 3:00 a.m. Wednesday.
