Does anyone know what happened to Café del Sol? Some years ago apparently there was a sign on their door saying they were closed but would open the next day, but they never opened again.
My friends who grew up in Montecito were recently in town and they were disappointed that Peabody’s and Café del Sol are gone.

usually when a restaurant is struggling, they first don’t pay income taxes then they don’t pay employee taxes….hard to get back on your feet with the “vig” on those items
