For the third season in a row a mated pair of Western Bluebirds has nested in one of our bluebird boxes.

Five hatchlings are now being fed by the parents in anticipation of fledging around April 13th or shortly thereafter.

The male (seen here) participates in the feeding while also protecting the family.  While we provide a supply of live meal worms, Papa is delivering a small, winged morsel to augment the worms.
