“The Bear” Tops Streaming Charts

By Jane TV

The anticipated second season of “The Bear” topped streaming charts this past week.

Airing on FX, it follows a young chef who left the intense world of fine dining to run his family’s sandwich shop in Chicago after a death in the family. It stars Jeremy Allen White in the lead role with Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and 80s legend Molly Ringwald supporting.

The first season gained a large following when it aired last summer. Personally I’ve been unable to watch this show yet as it gives me a lot of anxiety seeing everyone stress over cooking, but perhaps I’ll give it a shot in the coming months.

Second on the list “Secret Invasion” on Disney+, another installment of the Marvel Universe starring Samuel L. Jackson. Third is AppleTV+ new show with Idris Elba “HiJack” following Elba as a passenger on a plane from Dubai to London that is hijacked over a 7-hour flight.

Rounding out the bottom of the list is a new season of Netflix’s fantasy series “The Witcher.” Starring Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, we follow the saga of this solitary monster hunter as he learns more about the world around him and what truly matters most.
