Small Fire Along Highway 101 at Garden Street

Speaking of blankets, here's a public safety thought. Distribute fire blankets to the campers. Fire blankets are cheap. Way cheaper than a fire getting out of control. And maybe, just maybe, instill/inspire a little "you are still part of a community" in campers. I know, I know. Many campers don't give a rip and it doesn't address the root issues but...$500 dollars on Amazon gets 65 fire blankets. One camper putting out a single fire covers that $500 in resources many times over. And remember, these camps look to most of us like piles of crap, but to those campers, those piles of crap are all they have. Stolen, shabby, shitty, nasty. Still considered theirs and all they have. And I don't think most of them want what little they do consider theirs to burn. Throw 'em some fire blankets. Cheap band-aid that may act more like a fire tourniquet.
