Senator Limón Celebrates Women of the Year Honorees

Last week, Senator Monique Limón celebrated ten women from Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties as the 2024 Women of the Year honorees. Every year in recognition of Women’s History Month, the California Legislature uplifts women who have had a tremendous impact in their communities. 

“I am proud to recognize ten incredible women in our community and celebrate their contributions with their peers, family, and colleagues. Each one of them was chosen because they play an important role in the success of their organization and in our community,” said Senator Limón. “Their leadership and contributions are commendable and deserve to be celebrated.”

Monique Limón represents the 19th Senate District, which includes Santa Barbara, Ventura, Goleta, Buellton, Carpinteria, Guadalupe, Lompoc, Santa Maria, Solvang, Camarillo, Fillmore, Ojai, Oxnard, Santa Paula, and Port Hueneme. She currently serves as the Chair of the Senate Democratic Caucus and as Chair of the Senate Banking and Financial Institutions Committee.
