Second Teenager Dies in Goleta Shooting

The second victim from the January 7, 2021 shooting on Burtis Street has died from his injuries. 19-year-old Jasper Pieter van der Meulen had been hospitalized since the shooting and died yesterday. The first victim, 19-year-old Enzo Marino Rastelli of Santa Barbara, died at the scene of the shooting. 

The suspect is still at large, however, investigators still do not believe that the general public is at risk.

Sheriff’s Detectives are continuing to investigate the case and would like to reassure anyone with information about this incident that they can do so without being identified by phone or online.
