Scanner Reports 6-8-18

Happy FRYday. I just heard of a Road Rage incident that occurred in Carpinteria starting in the area of Highway 101 and the 150 which resulted in a 242 Assault. As it gets hotter outside there will be more and more of these as the heat seems to bring up the anger but Road Rage has been around a long time. Sometimes I think of Road Rage as a newer crime but then I remember my step Dad who used to get into a lot of fights, many of them on the road. I used to call him “Jaws” because he looked like the shark in the movie “Jaws” his head was even shaped like a shark he was a tough old crook and bad as they come. I hit him over the head with a cheap coffee table once, really pissed him off, it was a good thing I could run faster. When Jaws passed away my Mom found a couple tickets in his clothing for Assault and Battery charges they involved Road Rage. I remember he told me he got a guy to pull over once walked up opened the guys car door when the guy turned to get out he slammed the car door on the guy’s legs he told me he broke the guy’s legs not sure about that but I bet he hurt the guy. I have had my hand slammed in a car door once and that hurt like hell. Saw this guy on YouTube on WEDnesday went off on the freeway up in Sacramento and chased down someone in a Honda CRV ramming their SUV over and over again then getting out of his vehicle and jumping up and down on the other vehicle until he fell off. Not even the loud racking of the beanbag shotgun could not deter him from beating the crap out of that Honda, he was out of his head. I think something else pissed him off before he went for a drive, then someone did something on the road that pushed him over the edge. It was pretty scary watching it, good thing the guy did not have a gun. Might be smart to not flip someone off when they cut you off on the road, just try and ignore them you never know when someone has had enough and they are about ready to Snap. I know I have written about Road Ragers before, it’s like Drunk and DUI Drivers they are always going to be out there, unfortunately.
