Overdose Near Old Coast Road

A female was found with a syringe in her arm, unresponsive but breathing. This is on the Eastside near the Tennis court on Old Coast Road. SB Fire Engine 72, medics, and SBPD are responding.

  1. LUVADUCK – I agree with your comment. There is absolutely nothing the PD or anyone can do to stop “users” that lead to overdoses. Cops can go out and arrest the “users;” there will always be a “user” behind them to potentially overdose. Jail the “user,” they are released and the majority go back to “using.” I don’t consider the person that OD’d a “victim.” The medical issue was self-inflicted, more like an attempted suicide. If the needle remained in this persons arm, for one, it could indicate the “junk” on the street is of higher quality than expected. If true, we can expect more of these reports. Either way, it was too much for this person to handle.
