Yes, this really happens. Montecito firefighters came to the rescue of a cat in need on Saturday morning.
Sam, the cat, climbed too high for its liking and made the mistake of looking down and getting scared.
Their owner contacted the Montecito Fire Department where a group of firefighters took on the challenge to bring Sam back down to earth.
Ladders were extended and meows were expressed until Sam was safely returned home.
“We’re always here to serve our community, even our furry four-legged friends!” the Montecito Fire Department states.
There were no injuries, other than to Sam’s ego.

Tax dollars!
How about keeping Sam indoors? Particularly for the sake of the birds.
Domestic cats do kill a huge number of birds and lizards. It’s not weird to advocate for native fauna.
is that normal behavior for you? to tell others what to do with their pets and try to control how they manage their pets? kinda weird dude….big time weird.
Imagine if it was “Pete Puma” stuck up on that tree. “Pete Puma” is not smart, that even “Bugs Bunny” outsmarted him.
