The Sheriff’s Office is asking a Los Alamos neighborhood to shelter in place as they search for suspects.

An alert went out at 2:10 p.m. Monday stating all residents north of Bell Street in Los Alamos should shelter in place due to law enforcement activity in the area.

Sheriff’s Deputies, K9’s, and air support are actively searching the area of St. Joseph’s and Gonzales Streets for burglary suspects.

Residents are encouraged to call 911 to report suspicious subjects.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
