  1. Looks like some passionate art as opposed to gang graffiti. It would be cool to see a designated area for street art that would revolve pieces every month or so. There are some extremely talented artists out there!

  2. People who do graffiti do it for attention to their cause or their “art.” Publishing pictures of their illegal acts is giving them EXACTLY what these criminals want and only encourages them. I’m all for free speech but there are other ways to exercise it without defacing public property, spraying noxious chemicals into the air, and leaving garbage and spent cans nearby. Please don’t encourage them further by publishing their “droppings” on Edhat.

  3. The Free Gaza one is infuriating. I hope they mean free it from Hamas. To those with limited awareness about the conflict, this type of vandalism suggests that Israel is at fault for this war, totally ignoring what happened on October 7 and Hamas’ continued threats to repeat it if left unchecked. This pro-terrorism graffiti needs to be erased immediately

      • How about fingerprints on the spray cans? And people should demand an end to Israeli domination of Palestine and create two autonomous states. What is there now is close to what the Russians are doing to Ukraine.

        • CALIB says “Gaza has been autonomous for 20 years.” – You really should work on your vocabulary. A place can’t be “autonomous” if it has been subject to blockade imposed by another country for 15 or so years, in addition to the restricted movement of people in and out of the territory.

We all know how you feel about the innocent Palestinian people being bombed by the tens of thousands, but at least have a shred of honesty about you.

        • You know of course that Gaza shares a border with Egypt. Has Egypt been blockading Gaza for fifteen years?

Gaza is not a “territory” it’s an autonomous area ruled by a political party which was voted into power–it’s not the West Bank.

          • No, ALEX, ISRAEL has been blockading Gaza.

And enough with the “people chose Hamas” BS. That was almost 20 years ago and they haven’t had a choice since. The majority of the population of Gaza wasn’t even of voting age or even alive back then, so no, it’s not so simple.

            • Oh, I’m not saying anything is simple.

I’ve talked to people who had literally no idea that Egypt controls a border crossing with Gaza or that they even share a border–these people believed that Israel had total control over Gaza even after removing all of their military forces.

Because they 100% buy the propaganda that Gaza is an “open air prison” and a “hell hole” and a “concentration camp” , etc.. As if Israel has had a single soldier or any other Israeli in Gaza in the past 18 years.

And they buy the propaganda that Gazan’s (prior to October 7, 2023) were unable to leave Gaza because…they believed that Israel controlled the entire Gaza Strip.

              Which of course is false.

So, yes, Israel has been blockading the Gaza Strip WITH EGYPT for the last eighteen years.

Amazing how many people don’t know that. But, the facts matter.

                • Sorry, you’re right about that. They have periodically been at war since then, with Hamas and Israeli cross border incursions occurring.

I should have stated that there has been no attempt at occupation, very different indeed.

However, it is important that the Israeli government decided in 2005 to unilaterally and completely withdraw from Gaza including dismantling and in some cases forcibly evicting 9000 Israelis from contested areas.

          • But ALEX, to be fair, Gaza has had some degree of autonomy, but it’s hardly been a free and sovereign area by any means of those words. My disagreement lies with how many people, such as CALIB, show such blatant hate towards all Palestinians and blame all their woes, including the tens of thousands of dead children, on the vote that took place almost 20 years ago to elect Hamas.

The people of Gaza have not enjoyed true freedom for decades. That’s really my point.
