Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to UC Santa Barbara for a reported gas leak Friday morning.
At 7:36 a.m. crews arrived at the Biological Sciences 2 building on campus. They found a female leaving who appeared to be disoriented and complained of nausea relating to a smell inside. She was treated on scene.
Firefighters searched the building and did not find a gas leak after clearing it with gas detectors. They did, however, find an obnoxious odor coming from a research lab on the 6th floor.
The building is clear and will be reoccupied soon.
