Custody Deputy Tests Positive for COVID-19

A custody deputy, who was tested on Thursday as part of employee surveillance testing, has been found to be COVID-19 positive today. The custody deputy, who is asymptomatic, wore a mask while at work and was sent home as soon as the results were returned.

This brings the total number of Sheriff’s Office Employees who have tested positive for COVID-19 to 40, with 38 having recovered and returned to work. Staff who are recovering at home include this custody deputy and one civilian staff member.
