They bike shops need to let their customers know that there is no armor in those spandex suits. The car will win everytime.

Roger’s post says “half a mile OFF Highway 154 …” not up or down 154. So he/she could have been riding on the old San Marcos Rd or Painted Cave Rd …. a popular route for cyclists.
As pointed out, he wasn’t on Hwy 154, but I agree with your comment. We cyclists have to be very careful where we choose to ride.
