After a pandemic-caused delay, the 4th Annual Goleta Holiday Parade will return at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, with plans for community organizations, schools, nonprofits, youth sports teams, and community members to march down Hollister Avenue in Old Town Goleta, from Orange Avenue to the Goleta Valley Community Center.

The Goleta Lions Club, in partnership with the city of Goleta and community sponsors, are presenting this event.

The parade’s comeback allows the community to safely celebrate the season, however, support is needed. A variety of sponsorship levels are available, including North Pole Sponsorships ($3000), Reindeer Sponsorships ($1000), or Candy Cane Sponsorships ($500), in addition to other levels.

All sponsorship dollars will fund parade expenses and the Goleta Lions Club’s mission of supporting local youth projects, with focus on providing sight and hearing resources. In addition, the parade will light up Hollister Avenue and bring cheer after having to cancel last year’s event.

“Throughout the duration of my involvement as councilmember, I have rarely seen an event that warmed the hearts of all our community members as much as the Goleta Holiday Parade,” aid Roger Aceves, Goleta, a parade sponsor. “It is important to generate continued support for this event and keep spirits and cheer alive this holiday season.”

Parade organizers will continuously consult with local public health officials and follow any guidelines set forth by the CDC, Santa Barbara County, and the city of Goleta to ensure a safe community experience.

Current sponsors include: North Pole Sponsors, Santa Barbara Elks Lodge and Santa Cruz Market; Reindeer Sponsors, Roger Aceves, Yardi Systems, and Toyota of Santa Barbara; and Media Partner, Rincon Broadcasting.
