A bike was violently taken from a 9 Year Old Male at the basement of Lot 9 behind Marshall’s. The boy called 911 from his cell phone.
The boy’s older sister headed over to the scene and spotted the alleged bike thieve headed North. The attacker was located in front of the library on the Lot 6 driveway in possession of the said kids-bicycle.
Three officers responded, the property was recovered, and the male suspect was taken into custody. It is not known if the suspect is also a minor.
The original call was a Code 242. “…Juveniles fighting in the lower [portion of the] Lot 9 parking structure.” The faces have been blurred in these photographs.

Any Adult that touches/batters/robs a child is a disgusting piece of trash. Originally called in as a Battery in progress turned out to be a 211 on a child. Nice paperwork lol have fun trying to explain that one….
I hope they get the word out in the County Jail to give this guy a “ride…”
Inciting violence?
Thank you SBPD for catching this violent thief so quickly. Thank goodness that as aggravated assaults, robberies, and burglary have increased, the calls to defund the police are starting to fade away. It never made any sense to me that “defund the police” did not mean just that….reduce funding for LE. It’s interesting that the most vocal among us calling for defunding are not affected by crime still support this silly notion. Before you get started, I do understand what the term defund means, so at least give me that.

Also, this is pretty obviously a case where a police officer would be beneficial. When dealing with mental health issues though…. leave it to the pros, who (whom?) we need more of.
If we want to keep playing the middle school debate club game of taking the most extreme position of your opponent and making it sound like it was mainstream at some point… It’s good that not just calls, but real actions of dressing in Viking outfits, taking over the Capitol, and beating up police have faded away.
