Wrong Way Driver Caused Traffic Collisions On Highway 101

Four people are injured after a wrong-way driver caused multiple traffic collisions on Highway 101 south of Los Alamos.

At 7:44 p.m. Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to two separate collisions, one near Alisos Canyon and another near Highway 101 and SR-154. 

There was a total of four patients with heavy extrication required, three of those sustained critical injuries and one minor injury.

One patient was transported to the hospital by CalStar helicopter and the others by gound ambulance.

The cause is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
