Woman Injured After Vehicle Crashes 40ft Over Roadway

Santa Barbara County firefighters extricated a woman with moderate injuries after her vehicle crashed over the side of Harris Grade Road on Wednesday. 

At 11:26 a.m., fire crews responded with two engines along with California Highway Patrol (CHP) and a ground ambulance to the scene near Los Alamos, approximately 1/2 mile south of Highway 135, reports County Fire Captain Dave Zaniboni.

Upon arrival, they discovered a vehicle approximately 40 feet over the side of the roadway with a single occupant inside. The driver, a 35-40 year old woman, was complaining of moderate injuries and required extrication from the vehicle. She was transported to Marian Medical Hospital, reports Zaniboni.

CHP is investigating this incident.
