I believe there were 2 arrests in this one J.P. Reported it on his FB Page. There should be arrests on all of them there used to be now criminals have more rights than citizens. Some crimes are considered mental illness the criminals are laughing at everyone while cashing in on society. Their advocates are also cashing in while blaming society the politicians are cashing in on everyone America is split when is it going to end? nIt's not it's just going to get worse...

Anyone notice that virtually no one is ever arrested or charged in these cases? The attitude seems to be "Oh, well, just another bum fire." Another training opportunity for firefighters. Meanwhile, elected officials' response is just, charitably, anemic.

I think the homeless ought to be taken in by homeless advocates and others who have made money off homeless inc. through the years.

@Nancy Santa Cruz did that a couple of years ago. There were hundreds of tents in a certain area right on the side of the freeway. The city gave them toilets and water stations, etc. The crime and drug use got so bad that after a while the famously tolerant city of Santa Cruz cleaned them out. They left behind thousands of needles in the dirt.

I wrote a letter to the Santa Barbara News-Press and the Independent about the fires getting out of control in windy conditions at homeless camps in our community. If there were a place where people could pitch their tents surrounding services then we would not have so many fires to deal with. I believe that the City Council should come up with a place such as this. The fire department would be relieved. Residents would be relieved. What is wrong with Santa Barbara? All they do is move the homeless around.
