Three Men Arrested for Alleged Prostitution and Trafficking of a Juvenile

On 02/19/18 Santa Maria Police Officers were detailed to an investigation involving prostitution. They contacted three subjects as well as a juvenile victim. Santa Maria Police Detectives were notified and they investigated this as a possible Human Trafficking case.

Ultimately, all three adult subjects were arrested for various charges and they were booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail.

The juvenile victim was secured and provided with various services.

The persons who were arrested are listed below:

-Gabriel Campos-Lopez, 51 years, a resident of Santa Maria. Booked for 261.5 PC – Unlawful Intercourse with a Minor.

-Pedro Morales Abotye, 57 years, a resident of Santa Maria. Booked for 261.5 PC – Unlawful Intercourse with a Minor, 261 PC – Rape, and 266 PC – Pimping of a Minor.

Ramiro Morales Buenrostro, 37 years, a resident of Santa Maria. Booked for 261.5 PC – Unlawful Intercourse with a Minor, 288a(b)(1) PC – Oral Copulation (of a minor).
