9:00 p.m. Sunday my friend and I were enjoying a quiet walk at Shoreline Park. Upon returning to our large Van, we noticed a man standing suspiciously close to the back of our vehicle. It was obvious he was attempting to get into our vehicle. Because we walk without lights, this person didn’t see us approaching. As soon as he heard us speaking, he took off on his skateboard, fast as he could go, down Shoreline Dr. and toward City College.
We always check the doors on our Van to make sure we have locked them. We believe this thief was trying to open our door to get at the bicycle we had inside. We’re posting this to let people know there is a skater thief checking doors on vehicles. Beware and always lock your doors.
So do you mean you checked you doors to make sure you locked them before you started walking? So your door was indeed locked and he was unable to gain entry?
