Spot Fires Along Highway 101 in Goleta

Santa Barbara County firefighters are tackling several spot fires along Highway 101 southbound between Fairview and Los Carneros.

At 11:24 a.m., fire crews responded to the area and found the small fires along the southbound lane appearing to be caused by a passing vehicle. However, the official cause is under investigation, said Captain Dave Zaniboni.

The fires are under control and three engines are one scene with a hand crew to help mop up.

The number two southbound lane was closed as crews were working in the area.
