Caltrans has reduced the speed limit on State Route 192 from the Santa Barbara Tennis Club to Chelham Way from 55 mph to 35 mph.
This speed limit reduction was enacted to enhance safety for everyone who uses State Route 192.
This 35 mph speed limit is now consistent with the posted speed limit on State Route 192 through Santa Barbara and Montecito.
Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
