Firefighters quickly contained a small brush fire under the Cold Spring Bridge on Tuesday afternoon.
Fire crews with the Los Padres National Forest Service responded to the area under Stagecoach Road around 12:13 p.m. They discovered a pair of roadside fires under a half-acre and were able to extinguish them within a short amount of time.
Santa Barbara County fire resources were cancelled en route.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Yes indeed! The Avila fire in Shell Beach was intentionally set. Conveniently on the north west side of the Pismo, which was the direction the wind was blowing.
