Sheriff’s Deputies Investigate Drive-By Shooting in Buellton

At approximately 11:15 p.m. last night on January 31, 2018, the Santa Barbara County Public Safety Dispatch Center received a 911 call about gunshots heard in the 300 block of Gay Drive in Buellton. Sheriff’s deputies assigned to the City of Buellton, and the surrounding area, responded and found two vehicles with damage from apparent gunshots. No one was injured in the incident. Crime Scene Technicians with the Sheriff’s Forensics Investigations Bureau responded to assist in processing the crime scene.

Witnesses described seeing an older-model white sedan, possibly a Toyota Camry or Corolla, driving slowly through the area occupied by two people. One witness observed the suspect vehicle fire at a specific residence and then slowly drive away from the area. Surrounding businesses and residences were checked and no other victims were identified.

I just heard there was a drive-by shooting in Buellton last night near Gay Drive. Does anyone have any more information?
