Sen. Limón Named in Forbes Future of Work 50 List

Senator Monique Limón has been honored as the only legislator in the county on the Forbes Future of Work 50 list. Other honoreesinclude Marc Benioff (CEO of Salesforce), Brian Chesky, CEO of AirBnB, Lisa Gevelber, CMO of Google, Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, Julie Sweet, CEO of Accenture, Eric Yuan, CEO of Zoom, and more

The Future of Work List highlights executives, companies, thought leaders and innovators who are creating a more equitable, dynamic and collaborative workplace. Senator Limón released the following statement in response to her inclusion: 

“I am honored and proud to be the only legislator in our country to be named one of Forbes Future Of Work 50. California’s work on pay transparency will not only narrow the pay gap for millions of workers in the Golden State, but will change the future of work and workers across the country. Thank you to my partners at CELA, Equal Rights Advocates, the Commission on the Status of Women and Girls, California Labor Federation, and Tech Equity Collaborative – and my partners in the Legislature and beyond, especially the California Legislative Women’s Caucus, First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom and Governor Newsom for standing up for women’s equity and changing the trajectory of workers’ earning power.” 


Monique Limón represents the 19th Senate District, which includes Santa Barbara, Ventura, Goleta, Carpinteria, Ojai, Santa Paula, Fillmore, Buellton, Solvang, Summerland, Isla Vista, Montecito and parts of Oxnard. She currently serves as the Chair of the Senate Committee on Banking and Financial Institution and the Select Committee on the Nonprofit Sector.
