Santa Barbara ZooLights: A Dazzling Fusion of Art, Color and Wildlife Magic

Zoolights (Photo by David Powdrell)

So here’s the deal…my grandson, Henry, and his mom and Dad invited my wife and me to see the Santa Barbara ZooLights this evening.

OMG, the vast array of beautiful light and vibrant color and gentle motion depicted in the sometimes interactive animal art strewn across the many acres of the zoo were beyond my wildest expectations!

Talk like a parrot, sing your heart out, play an oversized piano ala Tom Hanks in Big, see-saw on an illuminated log, or simply gaze in awe at the stunning display of sea life, mammals, birds and more.

Beautiful art comes in many forms and fashion. If you’re an art lover, make this a must see exhibition. If you’ve got kids, they’ll love it. If you’re a kid at heart, see this exhibition. I think you’ll be as blown away as I was.

The exhibition concludes on January 14, 2024. The hours are 4:30 – 8:30. Here’s a link to the Santa Barbara Zoo for tickets: Santa Barbara ZooLights
