Gee, whiz! Is a jack worth 5 years in prison? People are giving them away on Craigslist...I gave one away 2 years ago to an off-road-jeep guy. OK, I know, some folks aren't thinking clearly, but threat of lethal force over a damn jack? Nuts.

It will be interesting to learn what the suspect said when he reached into his waistband and during this incident to classify this as a robbery. To minimize his problems all the boy had to do was walk in, pick it up and leave as I'll guess this jack sold for less than $950. Then, if he gets caught he's likely given a shoplifting "citation" and sent home. If a robbery, he faces a felony and jail/prison time. No one ever accused many crooks of being very bright. Karma: The jack is defective and the car falls on him.

Enjoy another great 4th of July.....

They also loan some tools out. Its written on the door right near where the height marker is for gauging the robbers height

You only have to take something from someone by force or fear to qualify as a robbery. One does not have to be armed...
