Roadside Highway 101 Fire Stomped Out Near Los Alamos

Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to a roadside brush fire on Highway 101 near Los Alamos on Monday.

Crews responded to a 1/4 acre of grass burning along the highway south of Los Alamos in the afternoon. The responding crews were able to stop the forward progress with the equipment on the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. 

California Highway Patrol had traffic restrictions in the area for firefighter safety.
