7 new cases for SB and 28 for Santa Maria. It does seem like the floor is rising, and I don’t think we have the full impact of the protests yet. It’s going to rise naturally as more people mingle who don’t take precautions.

Yes and visitors from southern CA counties. Ventura county and Orange county are not requiring face masks. So you can go to stores with no mask. Then those folks come here. 7 is alot in one day for SB. And bars are now open

Shasta guy, I am pleased to see this responsible attitude. Precautions are paramount. It is njot juist the protests of course. Those demanding the end to stay at home, those who object to the rules that science has proposed for a sane evolution, those who think this is just another dark government conspiracy need to reevaluate. People who are panicking to get back to normal have to take a deep breath and understand that this is a problem that is going to be with us for months, maybe years. Thanks for helping people get this perspective.

Santa Maria seems to be going up really quickly and this is worrisome as everyone returns back to work and starts carpooling to SB again. I know everyone has different opinions and there’s so much info out there it’s mind boggling. Take good care of yourself and others. They’ve made some predictions that have been accurate that have been a real bummer and if there are things we can do to prevent this likely second wave they are talking about then I’m in!!

LA & So Cal Tourists are NOT wearing masks. The whole downtown is a mess and there are too many people mingling in places without masks for us NOT to see a dramatic increase soon.

"I'm pleased and happy to repeat the news that we have in fact caught and killed a large predator that supposedly injured some bathers. But as you can see, it's a beautiful day, the beaches are opened, and people are having a wonderful time. Amity, as you know, means friendship."

Speaking of sharks, there was a verified shark attack on a marine mammal down near the harbor or Leadbetter on June 3. Maybe we can play that up to discourage tourists

As of June 12, another 45 cases for Santa Maria, and “only” 5 for Santa Barbara. Santa Maria will lead the way for achieving herd immunity for us.
