Police Issue Shelter in Place Order While Serving Search Warrant

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office has lifted the shelter in place order in the Stow Grove Park area of Goleta.

Santa Barbara Police Department Detectives and a SWAT team served a search warrant on Covington Way around 7:00 p.m.

SBPD spokesperson Anthony Wagner confirmed the operation was conducted without incident and the investigation is ongoing.

The arrest was in connection with the driveby shooting on Easter Sunday, click here for more information.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office sent out a shelter in place order at 7:26 p.m. Tuesday for the area of Stow Grove Park.

The notice reads: “LAW ENFORCEMENT OPERATION, SHELTER IN PLACE IN THE VACINITY [sic] OF STOW GROVE PARK UNLESS EVACUATED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT.”
