People’s Self-Help Housing Participates in NeighborWorks Week

This week, People’s Self-Help Housing (PSHH) is participating in the nationwide awareness campaign ‘NeighborWorks Week’. They will be joining organizations throughout the country in building creative campaigns around the ideas of neighborhood revitalization and ‘building strong communities together every day’.

“We are proud partners of NeighborWorks America and are grateful for the opportunity to participate in another NeighborWorks Week,” said CEO & President Ken Trigueiro. “The themes we are highlighting this week are at the heart of PSHH’s mission and we will continue to drive that vision forward well beyond the campaign.”

In recognition of NeighborWorks Week PSHH have produced a new video highlighting efforts by their internal IDEA Commission. The IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Action) Commission is a staff-led effort to ensure advancements, promote opportunities, and hear all voices on issues related to inclusion, diversity, and equity that affect the organization. The video highlights how the commission is helping to build strong communities through intentional action and support from organizations like NeighborWorks America. You can view the video on the PSHH YouTube channel.

This weeklong event is executed by organizations that are part of the NeighborWorks network, an affiliation of nearly 250 nonprofit organizations located in every state, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. In fiscal year 2020, the NeighborWorks network provided more than 438,600 housing and counseling services; owned and managed 179,900 rental homes; and created 43,810 jobs. The network was founded and is supported by NeighborWorks America, which creates opportunities for people to live in affordable homes, improve their lives, and strengthen their communities.
